AECP CAS stamped background card #2
Updated: Mar 28, 2021
I decided to make another card for this lesson using one of my favorite stamps. I chose one of the leaf stamps from the Beautiful Day stamp set. I love these when you layer them, but I love them just as much when used by themselves. I didn't do any measuring for this one; I randomly stamped the image until I achieved a pattern arrangement that I was happy with.
I stamped the leaves with Versamark black ink and then decided to use alcohol markers to color in the leaves. I don't have any Altenew markers, and I have a limited number of Copics that I have collected over the years. What I decided to use was a few colors from a set of Ohuhu alcohol markers that I received as a gift. I used 3 different shades. I then took some Altenew Tropical forest and rain forest green watercolor paint and mixed them together and then splattered the background. I took a fine tip black pen from Sharpie and added some sets of black dots around a few of the leaves as well.
I stamped the 'Just Because' sentiment from the Beautiful Day stamp set and embossed it in gilded embossing powder from Brutus Munro. I adhered this to a piece of black cardstock and adhered this to the card using Scotch foam tape. I think this is one of my favorite cards so far! I just absolutely love this leaf stamp from Altenew!
