AECP Clean & Simple Boutique Class

This card was created for the first class in the Altenew AECP program. I loved this class because it challenged me to keep it simple. I find that I am always looking to overdo my cards, and sometimes that means that they look "busy".

For this homework, I chose to use the Altenew Ditsy Print stamps. I love these stamps! They are whimsical, but beautiful too! I have to say this is one of my favorite sets. To begin, I created an A2 size card from 110 lb. white cardstock. After that, I blended distress oxide inks in Cracked Pistachio, Lemonade, and Peacock Feathers. Then I stamped the "Ditsy Print" stamp over this.

After that was finished and dried, I embossed the sentiment "You are Fabulous" from the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set on vellum. I then adhered this to a piece of black 110 lb. cardstock and then adhered this to the bottom right corner of the card.

I went back and forth for 2 days on this, but decided to add 2 matching rhinestones to the flowers which I just thought helped it pop a little.

The one thing that I have to work on is how to adhere vellum to cardstock :) I am so happy with how this card turned out otherwise. I feel much more comfortable creating a simple card without worrying about it being too plain. I like the simplicity of it and I think that it highlights the beauty of the stamp itself.
