All white card challenge

Hello crafty friends! I am back today with another challenge that my friend Kim from Kim.Kreates and I decided to do. This time, we decided to do an all-white card (well, almost all white LOL!). We decided we would use one small splash of an accent color, too. I was nervous about this one, but I really love how this card turned out!

I started with an A2 card base. Next, I cut a piece of 65 lb. white cardstock slightly smaller than the card base and embossed it using my Spellbinders platinum machine with a 3D embossing folder (the Basic Plaid folder) from Altenew that I had purchased a while ago and somehow it got lost in my stash. Does this happen to anyone else??? LOL! Next, I took a butterfly confetti die that my daughter had gotten me for Christmas last year. I taped the die down to a piece of layering cardstock (65 lb. white cardstock from Michaels) and sprayed it with silver glitter dust spray. I let it dry for a few minutes and then ran it through my Spellbinders machine to cut all of the little butterflies.

I arranged them in a pattern so it would look like they are flying off of the card. I adhered some of the wings with bit with foam adhesive tape and glued some right down flat on the card.

I stamped the sentiment with Memento black ink. It is a sentiment from the Altenew Paint a Flower-Carnation set. I was thinking this would make a nice wedding card or graduation card. I then took a piece of black 100 lb. cardstock from Michaels and cut a piece slightly larger than the sentiment and adhered them together, and then adhered the whole piece to the card.

For a finishing touch, I added some clear Nuvo drops in various spots on the card. Inside, I added a few more of the extra butterflies that I did not use on the front. Now I also have some left to use for another card!

Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to stop by Kim's blog at KimKreates to see her creation from our newest challenge and be sure to leave her some love!
