Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge
Embossing
Today I am sharing a card I made for the SSS Wednesday challenge which is embossing. I used a SSS embossing folder bundle (includes the die), that I have not used yet. It is the Pepperberry embossing folder. I embossed it on a piece of A2 sized kraft cardstock.
After I embossed it, I inked over the top with Ranger distress ink in scattered straw, pine needles, and shabby shutters.

Once I was finished, I added some white to the leaves with a Gelly roll pen. I also added some ink splatters from Iuile watercolors in Buff. I trimmed the panel down a little bit and adhered it to an A2 sized piece of yellow cardstock from MFT. I then adhered the panel to an A2 sized card base.

The sentiment is from the SSS Picnic Florals Sentiments. It is embossed in white on black cardstock, and I adhered it with Scotch foam tape.
I really like how this turned out. It was tough getting a picture that didn't make the yellow cardstock look so bright. In reality, it is more subtle and matches the scattered straw ink really well.
Thanks for stopping by!
